All applications in HandyGeo are multiple document interface applications. That means multiple data sets can be viewed and compared at the same time on screen. For example: data sets with tie lines can be overlaid at the tied locations to verify events at the same locations, or synthetic seismograms from well logs can be overlaid on data sections for correlation of wavelet frequencies. The HandyHeader module in HandyGeo is also a multiple document interface application, it is a very convenient tool to get information stored in trace headers that are related to the data. Users can list the entire header of a trace and compare the listing side-by-side with the standard header description, or just check a value at a particular location for a continuous number of traces. Using this application, the meaning and value at a header location can be easily inferred.
